Notes for Preference Examination Application
- After you request preference examination to KTG, you have to request preference examination to KIPO separately through agent or in person, and then you can be sure to receive the examination.
- Even if you have already obtained a separate prior art search report, you must request the examination to prior art search specialized institutes in order to receive the examination.
- Prescribed report about preference examination results and related citations are delivered to KIPO and applicant in the form of the electronic media.
- Search period is within 7 days after payment/settlement, and the search will not be started until the payment is completed.
